Stars of the day........
I'm staying with friends on my vacation. Members of Team P. include a 5-year old girl, an almost 3-year old girl and a wee bitty 5 week old baby boy. There have already been memorable moments.....
The 5-year old gets star of the day already today. She was coloring a picture and humming. What song does this little girl hum while she colors??? "Glory be to Jesus, Who in bitter pain, Poured for me His life blood, From His sacred veins." Now that's a song to hum!!
Her little sister got a very memorable star of the day yesterday, but more because the event will always be seared into my brain than because it was so...wonderful. It was most certainly not! We were just finishing supper when she announced that she had a rock in her pants. Which she dug out for all to see. It wasn't a rock.
- Note to self: When child being potty trained announces that they have a rock in their pants, an alert adult grabs child and heads for bathroom right away.
- Also note to self: Said child could use more fiber....

By the way, we had that same potty for the boys, but the little pee guard thing, which might be more critical for boys than it is for girls, never stayed in place, so I sold the blasted potty at a rummage sale. The new potty we got had a great pee guard, but there was some flaw which I never figured out which allowed half of the pee to end up on the floor underneath the seat...so really, I could have just sent the kid into the bathroom and told him to pee on the floor and get the same result. That potty has been terminated, also, and now we're all about the toilet. And, it flushes!
