Falling in love all over again.....
You know how it is when you listen to a CD that you haven't listened to in a long time? Or a composer? Or an artist you never noticed before?
Well, since I've gotten my iPod, there has been lots of falling in love going on! First and foremost, I discovered Rev. Todd Wilken on Issues, Etc. I'm a junkie. Always a couple of weeks behind, but I gotta have my fix.
Then there was a brief fling with the Smothers Brothers. I love men who make me laugh!! Once I have "Crabs Walk Sideways"
stuck in my head, it's stuck in my head for a week!
Jimmy Buffet was new to me - I had a friend who loved him, but I had never paid much attention. Now I have 4 or 5 CD's!
And now for something completely different. Felix Mendelssohn - that's my current love. I have a compilation of choral works, and the Oratorio "Elijah". I've had the choral works on repeat for days....

^sigh^ That man can sure write music....
Absolutely. One semester in college our University Choir (I was a tenor) sang Elijah. We joked that the choir bounced repeatedly from Baal-worship to God-worship, and hopefully we wouldn't die at the wrong time. :)
Favorite piece: Hmmm....probably "Blessed are they that fear the Lord", especially the part "through darkness riseth light of the gracious, compassionate...." There seems to be two English translations to the text out there so I hope you know what I'm talking about.
Ah, memories...the fire descends from heaven...the flames consume his offering ;)
Thanks great blogg
