Big weekend!!

Now that was a great weekend! Saturday night we had a bonfire party to celebrate my baby brother's 40th birthday. (No, I'm not "over 40." He kept having birthdays after his 28th. I did not.) We also celebrated the expectation of his 5th child, due late in May. (Now my sil just has to manage not to be in the delivery room during their oldest daughter's high-school graduation ceremony!!)

It was the perfect night for a bonfire party - clear and chilly. We had lots of laughs around the fire - I actually stayed up for this! I'm usually only good for an hour or two, but this time I was there until after midnight!!I'm quite excited to be an aunt again. Gonna have to get knitting more baby things!

PLUS on Sunday night, the Cardinals won the first round of the National League Playoffs, downing the San Diego Padres 6-2. It was a really scaring first inning - let's just say that Chris Carpenter walked in the first run, something he hadn't done in 5 years....but he hung on and did a great job the next 6 innings. So, now it's on to the Mets....
