October baseball.....
I remember growing up and being quite disgruntled at having the World Series on TV for ALL of October. (My brother was a fan of the Cincinnati Reds during the Big Red Machine years.) And even if we wouldn't have had to watch it, it pre-emtped other shows that I could watch that WEREN'T baseball.

I repent. I was young and foolish and wrong.
October baseball is what it's all about.
Marie - thanks for asking - the Cardinals are doing grand! We have a one-game win streak going! (I love that everything resets to zero when the regular season ends.)
Seriously, winning the first game on the road was a shot in the arm. I'll be racing home from work to watch an hour of today's game before I head off to Thursday night knit-in.
Go Cards!

Hey! You got your technology back! It's good to see you on-line again.
I heard Belliard made some great plays in game 1.
I'm wishing you the best and watching along when my local stations cooperate.
I turned off the game after the first inning last night. I was afraid my watching was putting a curse on the team.
In the 8th the Quipper told me the Cards were up (he ws keeping his eye on it on line). The 9th inning was great!
Thanks Marie! I was dying in the first inning - I kept wanting to switch off, but I just couldn't. And then it was getting late and I had to work the next morning...but I didn't want to risk missing the celebration...but I didn't want to see them lose....
I was plenty conflicted, let me tell you!! I did have my lucky hat on tho....
